Mountain Bike

A mountain bike is a bicycle designed for mountain biking and other off-road riding either, on dirt trails or other unpaved environments; in contrast, road bicycles are not rugged enough for such terrain. Mountain bikes have fat, knobby tires for extra traction. In recent times front and/or rear suspension along with 29” wheels have been added. Handle bars have also been modified to suit the mountain biker. Most bikes tend to have 26” wheels with either 10-24 speeds.

Monster Mountain X is open to the public from sunrise to sunset. The facility is located at the P5 carpark, off Hill Road. For more information visit the Monster Mountain X page.

Sydney Olympic Park is a great complex to explore on any form of bicycle. Take one of our three Bike Safari circuits and discover the endless sights to see right here at Sydney Olympic Park.
