Sydney Olympic Park comprises over 35 kilometres of cycling pathways and trails set right in the heart of Sydney. From Olympic icons to spectacular parklands and areas of cultural heritage, the perfect way to explore Sydney Olympic Park is by bike.

Bike Racks

Bike racks are provided at most venues at Sydney Olympic Park and selected locations within Bicentennial Park, Wilson Park, Woo-la-ra and Wentworth Common. You will also find bike racks at Olympic Park Station and Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf.

  • Pathways are there to share with pedestrians. Cyclists, rollerbladers and scooter riders must give way to walkers
  • 20kph is the maximum permitted speed limit for cyclists on shared pathways
  • Keep to the left to enable others to pass safely
  • Be alert and cautious when crossing roads - look both ways
  • All cyclists mustwear a helmet, on both roads and pathways - it's the law
  • Please stay on pathways - don't cycle on gravel paths in Narawang Wetlands or on timber boardwalks
  • Help keep frogs, turtles and other wildlife off the roads by shutting the gates behind you
  • Please respect your Park by leaving the plants and wildlife undisturbed for everyone to enjoy

Cyclists

Racing Cyclists

Sydney Olympic Park offers an extensive network of quality on-road cycle lanes. These cycle lanes provide adequate room on smooth surfaced well maintained and low trafficked roads outside event times. All cycle lanes are well marked and signposted to Australian Standards.

Recreational Cyclists

An extensive network of shared pathways throughout the Parklands provides many opportunites for exploration by bicycle. The shared pathways provide pleasant scenery and attractions away from the traffic and are accessible to facilities such as playgrounds, taps and toilets.

BMX and MTB Riders

Take a break from the circuits and perfect your 'dirt' skills on Monster Mountain X and Monster BMX, located between the Archery Centre and P5 Car Park on Hill Road.

Inexperienced Cyclists

There are a number of locations within the Parklands where inexperienced cyclists can use off-road pathways and cycle under supervision.
