R.E.A.C.H Program:
Experts will tell you that there's no quick fix for reaching your peak health and fitness levels. However, Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre's new 4-week intensive program, R.E.A.C.H., offers a simple, sustainable and individualised approach to achieving your fitness goals.
R.E.A.C.H. is the integrated pathway to achieve your physical potential of health and wellbeing and is designed to take you out of your comfort zone and propel you towards new levels of fitness.
The aim of the R.E.A.C.H. program is to improve your cardiovascular fitness, strength and assist you in reaching your personal best. The R.E.A.C.H. sessions include people of all fitness levels and are not aimed to be competitive - except against yourself.
Each session is reasonably intense, will vary and will include a mix of cardiovascular work and strength exercises. Participants are expected to give 100% each session. Each session includes 5-10 minutes of stretching. Minimal equipment is used and most of the activities make use of the facility itself and the natural landscape that surrounds it.
R.E.A.C.H runs in 6-week cycles. Each 6-week cycle includes 18 sessions (3 sessions per week) each of one-hour duration. Session times are Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6.30am.
