The Sydney Olympic Park Foundation Stone is a sandstone rock that was procured for its size and visual balance. It was unveiled by H.E. Mr Juan Antonio Samaranch, President of the International Olympic Committee, on 15th May 1998. The foundation stone has a bronze plaque on it.
