Jarrod 6 Spider Track Underneath the trees On the inside of the leaves There is a hairy, scary spider That is an excellent hider In the shadow of the log Down in the bog The great big spiders hide Where they can't be spied Where the path twists and turns Between the green, wavy ferns The funnel web lies sleeping At night he will be creeping |

Oliver and Toby 7 and 5 We love spiders! (Dad doesn't...) We like spiders - we like them all, Some are big and some are small. BUT Dad said "I don't like spiders, they really make me mad, two legs GOOD, and eight legs BAD!!" They spin their sticky web from here to there, and it makes us laugh when it's in Dad's hair! Dad said "I don't think THAT IS FUNNY", but WE had a great day today, we made some crazy spider hats and had a great play!!! |

Zeta 12 A spiders life Spiderlings hatch from eggs. Each one has eight tiny legs. A spider has more eyes than you. Most have eight, and you have two. A spider has two body parts. Across its web it quickly darts. From a spider's spinnerets Sticky spider silk jets. Spiders feel the frantic tugs, Of their favorite food; it's bugs! |
