Wentworth Common is a large open recreational space suitable for community and corporate functions, barbeques and picnics, active and passive recreation, sports, and special events up to 200 pax.
Facilities are fully accessible and include three picnic shelters, adventure playground, barbeques, a pedestrian/cycle path, toilets and free car park. Easy acces to the Brick Pit Ring Walk.
Other features of Wentworth Common include a decomposed granite horse exercise trail used during the Royal Easter Show, Water Treatment Plant and the Bay Marker - an elevated landform in which views over the wetlands, Homebush Bay including shipwrecks, Haslams Creek and the city are available.
Wentworth Common also has significant value as primary habitat for the Green and Golden Bell Frog and for other frog species, as well as several species of waterbirds and insect-eating birds.
Site hire fees start from $165 for open spaces and $225 for shaded pavilion/picnic shelter.
