New Bus Services to Sydney Olympic Park

Two new bus routes have commence operation at Sydney Olympic Park, from Chatswood (Route 533) and from Hurstville (Route 450). Also there will be increased services from Strathfield (Route 525) and Lidcombe (401). For more infomation view the Bus page.

Sunday 5 September 2010 - AFL Final Series - Swans v Carlton

The following road closures will commence at 7:00pm on Saturday 4 September 2010:

  • Dawn Fraser Avenue at Showground Road
  • Dawn Fraser Avenue at Olympic Boulevard

The following closures will begin from 7:00am on Sunday 5 September 2010:

  • Olympic Boulevard between Sarah Durack Avenue and Kevin Coombs Avenue
  • Grand Parade at Olympic Boulevard
  • Dawn Fraser between Olympic Boulevard and Edwin Flack Avenue
  • Herb Elliott at Olympic Boulevard
  • Kevin Coombs Avenue between Australia Avenue and Pondage Link
  • Shirley Strickland between Rod Laver Drive and Olympic Boulevard
  • Rod Laver Drive at Tennis Centre Car Park
  • Figtree Drive at Olympic Boulevard

The following closures will begin from TBC on Sunday 5 September 2010:

  • Dawn Fraser between Park Street and Showground Road
  • Showground Road between Novotel Hotel Loading Dock and Murray Rose Avenue

The following closures will take place for egress approximately 4:00pm to 6:30pm:

  • Edwin Flack from Birnie Ave to Old Hill Link
  • Edwin Flack at Acer Arena Loading Dock
  • Shirley Strickland at Sarah Durack Avenue

The above road closures will be removed by 6:00am on Monday 6 September 2010.


Saturday 11 September 2010 - Bledisloe Cup - Wallabies vs All Blacks

  • Olympic Boulevard between Sarah Durack Avenue and Kevin Coombs Avenue
  • Grand Parade at Olympic Boulevard
  • Dawn Fraser between Park Street and Edwin Flack Avenue
  • Herb Elliott at Olympic Boulevard
  • Kevin Coombs Avenue between Australia Avenue and Pondage Link

The following closures will take place for egress approximately 9:00pm to 11:00pm:

  • Edwin Flack from Birnie Ave to Old Hill Link
  • Edwin Flack at Acer Arena Loading Dock
  • Shirley Strickland at Sarah Durack Avenue
  • Murray Rose Avenue between Park Street and Showground Road 

 

The above road closures will be removed by 6:00am on Sunday 12 September, 2010.


Wednesday 15 September 2010 - 10th Anniversary of the Games

Road closures will be in effect for the celebrations for 10th anniversary of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.  Details will be confirmed at a later date.

NRL Final may be held at ANZ Stadium during September - further details will be provided as required.
