Getting Here by Bike

Cycling PictogramGetting to Sydney Olympic Park by bike is easy via the Sydney Regional Cycleways network. If you want to bring your own bike by car there is ample parking available and bikes are permitted on trains and ferries so you can enjoy cycling the Park and take the relaxing way to get home.

From Ryde, Meadowbank and Rhodes - Join the shared pathway near Meadowbank Station (Railway Road); cross the Parramatta River via the old railway bridge to Rhodes; turn left on to Blaxland Road and under railway line to Walker Street; follow railway line past Rhodes Station to Homebush Bay Drive underpass; turn right into Oulton Avenue; join shared pathway into Bicentennial Park.

From Rydalmere - Cross Silverwater Road Bridge; at intersection turn left into Wilson Park; onto shared pathway and follow along Parramatta river; past Newington Armory and on to Woo-la-ra and Hill road.

From Botany Bay, Tempe, Cooks River and North Strathfield - From Parramatta Road; turn into Hillcrest Street; turn left into Park Road; cross M4 Motorway via shared pedestrian bridge; turn right into Pomeroy Street; cross Underwood Road; join shared pathway on Pomeroy Street; turn left onto shared pathway before stormwater channel; follow shared pathway through Mason Park to Homebush Bay Drive underpass; enter Bicentennial Park.

From Auburn and Lidcombe - From Adderley Street East join shared pathway; follow shared pathway under M4 Motorway and enter Sydney Olympic Park near Newington.

From Silverwater - From Silverwater Road head east along Beaconsfield Road East to Wetherill Street; turn right and follow to end of street; join shared pathway and enter Sydney Olympic Park near Newington.

 

Arriving by Car with your Bike

There are numerous car parks located throughout Sydney Olympic Park that provide two hour free parking where you can begin your bike ride. Otherwise, casual parking is available for $3 per hour or $15 per day maximum.

Arriving by Train with your Bike

Bikes are permitted on trains free of charge, however, if part or all of your journey is made between 6am - 9am or between 3.30pm- 7.30pm on weekdays, you must purchase a child ticket for the bike as well as a ticket for yourself. Olympic Park Station has lifts from the platform to easily access the Park.

Arriving by Ferry with your Bike

Bikes are permitted to travel on Sydney Ferries if there is room in the bike racks. Purchase a ticket to Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf and from there ride down Hill Road and join the cycleway at Woo-la-ra.
