Venue Newington Armory Blaxland Riverside Park |
For the past five years, up to half a dozen local and international artists have made their works for the annual Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi exhibition here at the Park’s visual arts studios as part of the Artists at the Armory program.
This creative partnership also provides exhibition opportunities for some of these artists. For the next 12 months, Blaxland Riverside Park and the Armory Wharf will host three striking works by artists from Australia, the Czech Republic and Germany. All three were Sydney Olympic Park artists-in-residence during October 2009, and their sculptures were exhibited in the 2009 Sculpture by the Sea exhibition in November.
Taken together, the works amply demonstrate the diversity of contemporary sculpture, both in terms of the materials used and the themes explored.
We trust you’ll enjoy these ‘home grown’ artistic interventions in the Park’s riverside precincts, and look forward to hearing your feedback. For all sales enquiries, please call Sculpture by the Sea on 02 8399 0233 or email info@sculpturebythesea.com
