Disability Action Plan 2006-2008
All NSW Government agencies are required by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care's "Guidelines for disability action planning by NSW Government agencies – September 2008" to prepare a Disability Action Plan, with a further review to be carried out every 5 years.
The Sydney Olympic Park Authority seeks to ensure that all people can participate in activities at Sydney Olympic Park with dignity and equity. Accordingly, the DAP prepared by the Authority, identifies measurable actions in a range of areas considered to have the greatest potential to improve equitable access in the provision of public services at Sydney Olympic Park.
The Disability Action Plan was recommended for approval by the Authority's Access Advisory Committee in November 2008 and adopted by the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer in December 2008. Copies of the plan were referred to the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care and the Australian Human Rights Commission.
