It’s always a good idea when school holiday activities teach your children a new skill – and most parents would appreciate a hand in the kitchen.
If you think you have a budding Jamie Oliver in the house, book a place in the Kids in the Park cooking program so they can take over the pots and pans.
And even better, parents can sit back with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and watch their offspring master cooking techniques, kitchen safety and understanding a recipe.
Kids Cooking in the Park will be held from January 9 in the brand new Lilies on the Park café in Bicentennial Park.
The classes will be divided into two age groups:
6-8 years will be held on Monday January 9, Monday January 16 and Tuesday January 24 from 4-5pm or 6-7pm.
9-12 years will be held on Tuesday, January 10, Tuesday January 17 and Monday January 23 from 4-5pm or 6-7pm.
Sessions will cost $25 per child and bookings are essential.
Kids Cooking in the Park is just one event in dozens of activities in the Kids in the Park school holiday program.
From cycling to trapeze to nature walks to junior boot camp, there is no need to look far to keep your kids entertained these holidays.
