State Plan - A New Direction for NSW

Secret Baking Business

The tips and tricks to the perfect pizza crust, chocolate cake and other winter warmers

With the weather cooling down, there is no better time to fill the house with the warmth and the smells of old fashioned baking.

The Boulevard Market at Sydney Olympic Park is preparing to bake up a storm, with some of the best bakers in the business on Sunday April 24.

Pastry Chef, Rowie Dillon from Rowie's Cakes will prepare cakes from scratch, so those pre-packaged cake mixes can be tossed out and market goers can learn to bake like grandma used to!

And for those who like their pizza as if it’s come straight from Naples, a renowned Sydney Pizza Chef will be showing how to perfect a crispy pizza base for your favourite toppings.

On the day, roving musicians will set the scene, as The Boulevard Market serves up its usual sensational smorgasbord of international food, goods, crafts, fashion accessories, homewares, essential cooking ingredients and fresh produce.

For the junior ‘foodies’ there is free arts and crafts, food for every age and palate and ‘Kids’ Kitchen Capers’ running between 10am and 2pm, with cooking and food based activities to experience.

Further cosmopolitan highlights include South American crafts and jewellery, Chinese massage and herbal drinks, Arabic and European food and pastry delights, Indian crafts and homewares, a variety of Asian fashion accessories and international hot food dishes.

The Boulevard Markets are located at Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park and run from 9.00am-2.00pm on Sunday April 24.
