Walk off the winter blues at Sydney Olympic Park

Enjoy the outdoors with 'Parents with Prams' and 'Seniors' walking tours

Keeping fit is always more fun when you do it in a group and this winter, Sydney Olympic Park is again running its popular FREE ‘Winter Walks’ tours of the Park, specially designed for ‘Parents with Prams’ and ‘Seniors’.

Every weekday from June 1 right through to the end of August, the one-hour Winter Walks, led by a Tour Guide, provide a great opportunity to experience the great outdoors in a safe environment.

The walks are also a wonderful way to explore the picturesque parklands of Sydney Olympic Park. The guide will provide a commentary on the Park and the plans for the site in the future. Participants will be enchanted by the beautiful flora and fauna of tranquil scenic routes, complemented by iconic sporting and entertainment venues.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday Winter Walks are dedicated to ‘Parents with Prams’ helping parents keep fit, stay warm and have fun this winter. The Parents with Prams walk concludes at a suitable location with playground facilities available for the kids.

Tuesday and Thursday walks are dedicated to senior members of the community, promoting good health and wellbeing and also encouraging senior citizens to socialise and meet new people.

Walking speed will be set to the pace of individual groups, and routes are varied so that participants can enjoy the walks on a regular basis.

At the conclusion of most walks, facilities will be available to purchase some morning tea or, if you prefer, you can bring your own.
