New South Wales and Queensland fans are being encouraged to arrive early for tonight’s State of Origin II to enjoy the food and entertainment on offer at Sydney Olympic Park.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority CEO Alan Marsh said there would be additional food and entertainment at Sydney Olympic Park before and after the game.
"Restaurants, cafes and bars at Sydney Olympic Park will be open before and after the game as part of the Taste of Origin promotion and there will be more than 30 food stalls and entertainment around Olympic Boulevard." Mr Marsh said.
Taste of Origin is an initiative of the NRL, Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Sydney Olympic Park Business Association under which restaurants, cafes and bars in Sydney Olympic Park are offering great discount vouchers and will be open before and after the game. The Taste of Origin booklet has discount vouchers for all participating food and beverage establishments and can be downloaded from www.nrl.com.au.
“A wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars will participate in Taste of Origin including HITHAI, Raw Cafe, Ribs and Rumps, Food Alert, Sushi & Rice, eateries at ANZ Stadium and Acer Arena and The Brewery hotel,” Mr Marsh said.
“Taste of Origin gives people even more reason to get to Sydney Olympic Park early and enjoy great food and the atmosphere before and after the game,” Mr Marsh said.
There will also be a huge variety of international food stalls around Olympic Boulevard and Too Many Guitars rock bank will provide free entertainment in The Overflow.
Tickets to State of Origin II include free travel on public transport and there will be extra trains and buses in place to get people to and from the game quickly and easily. For more public transport information or to plan your trip go to 131500.com.au or call 131 500.
