Socceroos Take On China In World Cup Qualifier

13 June 2008

All Australian sports fans must make their way to Sydney Olympic Park to cheer on the Qantas Socceroos when they play China in a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier at ANZ Stadium on Sunday 22 June, kick off at 6pm.

The match will be the final group game for the Socceroos who are the Asian Group 1 leaders and a win is vital for the team to progress to the next stage in qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa.

As it gets closer to the Olympics, this match will also be an essential part of the preparation for Pim Verbeek and the Socceroos and what better place to play that match than the home of the 2000 Olympics, Sydney Olympic Park.

Easily accessible by public transport, ANZ Stadium also has wheelchair spaces, escort seats or enhanced amenities, catering for every sports fan.

Tickets are currently on sale to the general public, with adult tickets starting at $30, concession from $15 and Families from $75.

Attendees should arrive early with family and friends to soak up the pre-game atmosphere at The Overflow. By arriving early, visitors to the Park can grab a bite to eat, enjoy live music and may avoid the crowds.
