State Plan - A New Direction for NSW

See what’s great about Sydney Olympic Park

This winter you can treat your relatives and friends from overseas or interstate with a trip to Sydney Olympic Park where they’ll have the opportunity to relive the magic of the ‘best Games ever’.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority has introduced an offer for visitors who combine the recently launched ‘Listen Live’ audio tours with a bike hire booking at the Park – you’ll save 10% off both products.

The ‘Listen Live’ tour provides visitors with lots of interesting information about this unique site that hosted the 2000 Olympic Games, the 425Ha surrounding parklands, and includes free entry to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

As part of the experience, visitors receive an easy to use MP3 player and map and can explore the precinct for as long as they like.

For those keen sporting fans there’s also the Telstra Stadium Explore Tour which operates between 10:30-4pm everyday.

The one-hour behind the scenes tour gives visitors the chance to run through the players tunnel, see the athletes change rooms and experience first hand what its like to become a champion by standing on the Olympic podium.

If being outdoors is more your cup of tea, there’s a great range of bikes for hire at the Visitors Centre including mountain & children’s bikes, dragsters, choppers, tandems & trikes or if you’d prefer to keep both feet firmly on the ground you can always take part in the Games Trail walking tour where you can see the cauldron which held the 2000 Olympic flame, or chase Cathy Freeman’s strides to Olympic gold.

For more information on how you can spend your day at Sydney Olympic Park go to the Visitor Centre on Showground Road – right next to the railway station or visit www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/tourism
