School holidays are fast approaching and kids everywhere are gearing up for Sydney’s most exciting school holiday program - Kids in the Park! During April, Sydney Olympic Park is serving up a smorgasbord of fun and happiness for all the kids…and the big kids in the family.
Getting active is easy at Kids in the Park, with a variety of sporting classes to enjoy. From mini-golf, archery, swimming, diving, dance, soccer and exciting new action sports like in-line skating and skateboarding. Kids can also meet their sporting heroes with players from the Sydney Swans, NSW Sapphires, Sydney Bulldogs and the Wests Tigers teaching the tricks of the trade!
Get back to nature with Spider Secrets, they’re creepy and crawly and kids can learn all about the secret life of spiders. Or for something really different - traditional indigenous games will be on offer, as children learn about Australia before European settlement and the games and stories native Australians engaged in.
The whole family can also enjoy Bike Safari – this is unlike any other bike track in Sydney, offering three different routes covering 35kms of on-and-off road cycling across different terrain.
The Overflow, with its creative and unique FREE school holiday program featuring celebrities Francois Awad from The Lion King, Rebecca Tapia from Australian Idol, Australia’s favourite cartoonist Brett Bauer and leading funk choreographer Katie Cesaro. As well as live performances by Sydney Olympic Park’s very own Winged Ones, as well as balloon makers and face painters.
These activities will run 10 – 24 April in The Overflow area at Sydney Olympic Park 10am-3pm. Log onto www.kidsinthepark.com.au or call 02 9714 7888 for more information
