State Plan - A New Direction for NSW


SAY 'G'DAY' AS  SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK CELEBRATES AUSTRALIA DAY

Sydney Olympic Park and Auburn Council invites the whole community to celebrate Australia Day at Bicentennial Park with free entertainment for the entire family; set in the beautiful surrounds of one of Sydney's most distinctive locations. Featuring:

  • Australia Day Ambassador, Olympic Swimmer Sarah Ryan
  • Free kids rides, face painting and craft activities
  • Youth Village with DJ Workshop
  • Dorothy the Dinosaur Show at 4.30pm and 6pm
  • Live music performers by The Bushwackers, Enormous Horns and local youth and multicultural talent
  • Community bazaar
  • The parklands Explorer Train

Two uniquely Australian programs will be shown on the huge outdoor screen, Skippy The Bush Kangaroo at 6.30 pm and Crocodile Hunter - Collision Course at 8.30 pm, starring everybody's favourite crocodile man - Steve 'Crikey' Irwin!

Movies and music will be combined with plenty of fabulous food from around the world and every visitor has the chance to win tickets to an advance screening of 'Spanglish' starring Adam Sandler, at Reading Cinema Auburn, this is one action-packed day out!

Transport

  • If travelling by train the Olympic Park Sprint train service will operate every 10 minutes between Lidcombe and Sydney Olympic Park.
  • If travelling by bus Sydney Bus route 525 operates from Strathfield or Parramatta direct to Sydney Olympic Park.
  • If travelling by car there is limited free parking in Bicentennial Park and over 10,000 car parking spaces from $3 an hour available.
