All applications must be made in writing. At this point the application period is determined. It is advised that your application represents as closely as possible your final submission for the film shoot as you will be charged additional fees for any last minute significant changes to your initial application.
Please use 
Table A - Application Fee Levels (PDF 22KB) to get an indication of the application charges that you will be charged for when filming at Sydney Olympic Park. These charges are based on a cost recovery model which will cover the authorities cost for processing and managing your shoot. Your application fee is based on the higher application level e.g. if you have 2 locations (medium level) but all other categories come under the low level you will be charged the medium level application fee. SOPA will confirm your application fee once the application has been received.
Terms and Conditions of your application
SOPA reserves the right to charge:
(a) Additional operational costs incurred for the film shoot if the required notice of cancellation below is not give.
With all cancellations there is no refund of any portion of the Application Fee.
Please see Table B - Additional Fees and Costs (PDF 21KB) for the cancellation notice periods that will affect what additional operational costs will be charged.
Each film shoot has the option of one weather hold date (subject to approval by SOPA) that will not incur additional administration charges. This date must be submitted with the initial application.
Any operational charges incurred as a result of a wet weather delay will be passed on to the applicant in full. E.g. insufficient notice to cancel a security upgrade, the cost incurred will be for the initial filming date and the wet weather hold date.
If additional wet weather hold dates are required there will be additional administration fees charged by SOPA to account for the changes required. These charges are up to the discretion of SOPA and are dependent on the requirements of the film/photographic shoot.
Table B - Additional Fees and Costs (PDF 21KB) outlines the costs that your film shoot may incur which are not included in your application fee, it also details relevant cancellation policies for each separate cost. You will be invoiced separately for these costs.
Table B - Additional Fees and Costs (PDF 21KB) costs are determined by the requirements of your shoot. Some expenses (eg SOPA security Rangers or Park Rangers) may a requirement stipulated by SOPA. For all contractor work on SOPA assets or utility services (eg electrical connections, plumbing connections etc) SOPA will arrange the work at cost using SOPA contractors.
