Sydney Olympic Park offer a range of excursions for both primary and secondary students that link to curriculum outcomes in key learning areas. We have recently updated 2016 primary programs with new content and more opportunities for students to get their hands dirty! All programs are aligned to the new NSW Syllabus and Primary Science Connections. Bookings for term 4 now available.
In Term 1, the ‘Mangrove Classroom Bridge’ in the Badu Mangroves will be closed as a replacement bridge is being built.Disruption to school excursion programs should be minimal as we are adapting our logistics accordingly. The bridge works provide an authentic conversation around sea level rise and the future of built and natural environments.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority is endorsed to provide QTC Registered Professional Development for teachers accredited at the Proficiency Teacher level for our Wetland Education and Training (WET) Teacher PD and Koori Classroom Professional Learning Workshop. Plus, bookings are also open for the Wetland Education and Training (WET) program.

New Video Resources for Teachers
Check out our online video resources featuring a range of field education techniques and investigations. These free instructional videos are delivered by our qualified staff and provide a wealth of information for teachers and are available online at the Sydney Olympic Park Education YouTube channel. Over 30 webisodes provide useful pre or post-exercises that can be combined with your next excursion to Sydney Olympic Park.
School excursion programs
Our School Programs are outcome-driven, hands-on and engaging. They are tailored for children from Kindergarten through to Year 12, with half a million students visiting Sydney Olympic Park each year. For delegations looking for ‘behind the scenes’ information on the running of Sydney Olympic Park, we offer Technical Insight Tours structured to your group’s specific needs.
Sustainable management of 430 hectares of parklands give us fertile areas for scientific research, the findings of which are shared through our Wetlands Education and Training Workshops that are held throughout the year.
