Nestlé Rhodes Head Office has partnered with Sydney Olympic Park Authority to build a series of unique 3D catchment models, designed to educate visitors about catchment management issues on a local scale. The emphasis is on how water is filtered, drained, recycled and reused at the Park through smart water management and landscape design.
The catchment models are an innovative way for students to learn about vital water management issues and activities. Funding from Nestlé’s Community Environment Program has also supported the development of a Water Filtration Trailer and Water Cart.
This interpretive equipment is used by visiting students throughout the 425 hectares of parklands at Sydney Olympic Park to help understand water management issues, landscape design practices and for tree planting.
During 2007, Nestlé also supported the development of specialised technical programs centred on the best-practice water conservation and recycling measures being undertaken at Sydney Olympic Park.
