Landscape & Enviro Design (Year 7–8)

This is one of our popular high school field trips, reflecting the syllabus Area of Study: Built Environments. Over this full-day outdoor excursion program, students in Year 7–Year 8 gain a deeper understanding of environmental and landscape design practices.

Students conduct field activities around the Water Reclamation and Management System (WRAMS) in Sydney Olympic Park. They discover how sewage and storm water is cleaned for irrigation and household use.

They also explore the newly landscaped public recreation spaces in Wentworth Common and engage in forensic ‘Design Scene Investigations’.

WRAMS is an urban water recycling system designed to save more than 850 million litres of drinking water annually. WRAMS supplies high quality recycled water to Sydney Olympic Park’s venues, facilities and parklands, and to the neighbouring suburb of Newington.
