Sydney Olympic Park offers a tempting choice of food outlets and cafes all within strolling distance of the major venues and parklands, so whether you bring your own from home or buy it here ready-to-eat, you’re sure to find the picnic spot that’s just right.
Spread a blanket on the grass or take a seat under a shade sail and enjoy an alfresco meal in one of the picturesque parks. Facilities include free barbecues, picnic shelters and shade areas, walking trails, cycle paths, playgrounds and playful fountains. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome but please comply with the signposted ‘no dogs’ areas that are protecting sensitive habitats for local wildlife.
And if you don’t feel like doing the cooking then you’ll be pleased that many of the Park’s cafes and food to go outlets have superb takeaway offerings too.
