Sydney Showground Unveils $1 Million Venue Upgrade

Sydney Showground celebrated the $1 million refurbishment of its 1000-seat Badgery Pavilion in May, when it played host to a spectacular gala dinner for an Indian incentive group Bajaj Automotive.

The 300 guests were the first to experience the recently completed venue upgrade including new carpet and furnishings and state-of-the-art air-conditioning.

Event organisers, Tour Pacific Australia and Staging Connections took advantage of the Badgery Pavilion's 2,540 square metres of flexible, pillarless space, and featured a number of exciting entertainment acts including a fire twirler, Bollywood performance and a thrilling aerial show.

Sydney Showground demonstrated why they deserved their recent Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) National Catering/Banqueting Award when they stepped up to the challenge of serving several Indian menu alternatives to cater for a range of cultural preferences.

"Sydney Showground prides itself on the ability to offer an exceptional range of cultural cuisines for local and international guests. We work very closely with all of our clients to ensure their catering and event requirements are met and expectations are exceeded every time," said Kim-Laura Brown, General Manager, Sydney Showground.
