Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre is not only a focal point for regional, national and international sport. It has been delivering events since 1884 and offers an unlimited amount of variety for entertainment, corporate, community and leisure events.
Two interconnected event pillarless spaces, the Main Arena and the Hall of Legends, are fitted with timber floors and flexible draping. The Centre has a variety of smaller function rooms plus the NSW Hall of Champions museum, which can be used on their own or to support larger events.
The 2,166m2 Main Arena has fixed and retractable tiered seating for up to 5,000 people, with the ability to scale down to 500 in a wide variety of configurations to suit most event types. The atmosphere is intimate with the furthest seat being only 24 metres from the floor. The venue is ideally suited for concerts, conferences, exhibitions, dinners and cocktail parties.
The Hall of Legends was officially opened by the Minister for Sport in July 2007. With a floor area of 1,200m2 plus double height ceiling, this impressive room pays homage to the State’s outstanding athletes, whose images adorn the walls. The Hall of Legends offers a backdrop that will ensure your event is remembered as 'legendary'. The Hall of Legends is versatile, for concerts, conventions, sales, seminars, exhibitions, product launches, dinners and private events including parties, weddings and wakes. With a natural timber floor and the neutral elegance of floor to ceiling draping the venue can be easily themed.
The Sports Centre team also manages the Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre. With smaller spaces, the venue is ideal for boardroom meetings, training and workshops.
