Situated within Sydney Olympic Park – which has more than 35km of cycle paths and 430 hectares of picturesque parklands – Bicentennial Park boasts safe wide-lane cycle paths as well as a myriad of lovely lakeside picnic spots and lookouts that are perfect for nature-loving love birds.

All cycle paths at Sydney Olympic Park are FREE to use daily from sunrise to sunset. Bike Hire @ Sydney Olympic Park opens at 8.30am and closes at 5.30pm (final day hires at 4.30pm), and tandem bicycle hires cost $25 per hour, with reduced rates for hours thereafter:

0-1 Hour $25
1-2 Hours $35
2-4 Hours $50
4-8 Hours $65
8-24 Hours $75

With tandem and all sorts of other bicycles, Bike Hire @ Sydney Olympic Park is located next to Lilies on the Park Café at Bicentennial Park (and at Blaxland Riverside Park), and helmets are included with all bike hires.

One of three mapped Sydney Olympic Park Bike Safari Circuits and perfect for Valentines is the Parklands Circuit.

The scenic circuit starts in the tranquil atmosphere of Bicentennial Park and borders Lake Belvedere before continuing to the Badu Mangroves boardwalk and on to the Bird Hide and Waterbird Refuge. A romantic route that passes historic shipwrecks which now rest in the Homebush Bay, the 5.5km Parklands Circuit is an easy-ride that takes approximately one hour to complete.
