Sydney Olympic Park is the place to be for parents looking to keep the kids entertained and active these school holidays without stretching the wallet, with Kids in the Park activities on every day of the holidays from 12-27 April 2014 (inclusive).
The action-packed school holiday program includes more than 50 activities, with many FREE and good value options for under $20 to suit children of all ages. Whether kids are interested in adventurous and sporty activities or prefer creative and nature-loving pursuits, they will find loads of entertainment at Sydney Olympic Park these holidays.
Sporty kids will be spoilt with choice from more than 20 energy-burning activities to keep them busy throughout the school break, including an AFL Clinic at Tom Wills Oval – home of the GWS Giants – and a range of new soccer, biking and futsal camps. Kids on Target and Little Archers will be held daily at the Archery Centre from 14 – 25 April (excluding Easter Friday, Monday and Anzac Day) for just $16 per child. Other activities for sporty-active kids include Cheer and Dance (14 – 16 April for $29 per child), Circus Skills (Daily Mon-Fri excluding Good Friday and Anzac Day) for $25 per child), Laser AQ (15, 17, 22 and 24 April) and much more!
Budding 2-5 year old chefs will love making pasta crafts and mini pizzas at Pizza and Pasta at Lilies from 17 – 24 April, for $22 per child. For sweet-loving kids, Kites and Cake at Lilies will see them combine the art of kite flying with a yummy morning tea from Lilies on the Park café or get creative with Cookies and Craft for $22 per child.
Emerging Einsteins will also be blown-away this April by the five Fizzics Education science workshops at the Education Centre at Bicentennial Park. On 15, 23 and 24 April, Fizzics Education – Lego Robotics will expose the inner-workings of robots using NXT Lego Mindstorms robots and other cool technologies for $40 per child. On Monday 14 April, Science-lovers will be thrilled with a choice of four workshops – Fantastic Flight ($25 per child), Gross and Gory Science ($25), Exploring Science ($25) and a Liquid Nitrogen Show ($15).
From science to the arts, creative kids can while away the hours at Sydney Olympic Park this April with FREE daily-entry to ARTEXPRESS at the Armory 2014 and FREE art workshops at the Armory Gallery on 15 and 22 April. Kids can also get loud with two hours of hyperactive of drumming fun at DrumzBuzz at Newington Armory on 12-24 April ($19 per child).
The NEW Lodge ‘Wild West’ Holiday Camp will give kids aged 5-12 the opportunity to explore the great outdoors as well as their creativity, Sydney Olympic Park’s super-cool Urban Jungle Adventure Park, Flying Trapeze and Circus Skills, Writing Workshops, Digital Filmmaking, Clue Trails and virtually every sport under the sun.
