#SuperSaturday at Sydney Olympic Park: 8 August 2015

SPORTS FANS AND FOODIES URGED TO ARRIVE EARLY AND TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Sydney Olympic Park is geared-up and ready for significant crowds on #SuperSaturday 8 August, when the Bledisloe Cup, Netball World Cup and the Good Food and Wine Show will be held at Sydney Olympic Park.

Event ticketholders are urged to take public transport and plan to arrive early to soak up the Super Saturday atmosphere at Sydney Olympic Park. Extra train services will depart Central Station every 30 minutes from 9.30am, and Bledisloe tickets include the cost of public transport.

From 10am, the doors of Allphones Arena will open for the second day of international netball's pinnacle event, the Netball World Cup Sydney 2015, which will see the Australian Diamonds take-on the world's best.

Fans, celebrities and sponsors will mingle while enjoying a range of food, beverages, merchandise and more at the Netball World Cup FanFEST Social Hub, located nearby Allphones Arena from 11am-8pm.

The doors of Sydney Showground will also open at 10am for the Good Food and Wine Show, where hundreds of local and international food producers and wineries will exhibit, with celebrity chef appearances, live cooking demonstrations and plenty of tantalising taste-samples will also be on offer.

Bledisloe Cup ticketholders who arrive early will find FREE entertainment from 4pm on Olympic Boulevard, Cathy Freeman Park and surrounds, before the Wallabies take-on the All Blacks at ANZ Stadium.

The FREE pre-game entertainment will include a World Record attempt at the Largest Rugby Scrum from 4pm-5.45pm at Fig Grove – on the corner of Dawn Fraser Avenue and Olympic Boulevard.

There’ll be more than 30 cafés, restaurants and bars operating right across the day and into the evening and from 4pm, tantalising food truck fare will be available on Olympic Boulevard.

Furthermore, as the sun sets, Sydney Olympic Park will be bathed in GOLD lighting in lead-up to the Wallabies' stab at ending a 13-year Bledisloe Cup drought. ANZ Stadium gates will open at 6pm for kick-off at 8pm.

While traffic delays are expected on Homebush Bay Drive and on-site parking will be limited, those who choose to drive despite advice should check road closures and pre-book parking via SydneyOlympicPark.com.au. Transport NSW information is also available by calling 131-500.
