Sydney Olympic Park rocks with 80 bands in eight days

Sydney Olympic Park will be the place to be for music fans from tomorrow to March 6 with 80 bands performing during the eight-day period.
Kicking off the extravaganza will be American rapper Drake performing at Allphones Arena tomorrow, followed by the American rock band Foo Fighters, who will entertain 60,000 enthusiasts on Thursday night at ANZ Stadium.
At the weekend - February 28 – March 1 - Soundwave will feature dozens of acts performing at the Sydney Showground for an expected crowd of 60,000. Soundgarden, Faith No More, Marilyn Mason and Fall Out Boy will headline the spectacular.
International legends, The Eagles, will round off the eight-day music fest with two concerts on March 4 and 6 at Allphones Arena.
More than 160,000 fans are expected to attend Sydney Olympic Park for the music extravaganza and everyone is encouraged to use public transport and take advantage of the café and restaurant precinct.
