Massive Crowds Expected At Sydney Olympic Park On 24 May For Liverpool FC vs Sydney FC

More than 80,000 football fans are expected at Sydney Olympic Park on Wednesday 24 May, when the famous English Premier League Reds of Liverpool FC take on the Sky Blues of Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium.

With gates to open at 6.00pm for kick-off at 8.00pm, traffic in-and-around Sydney Olympic Park will be extremely heavy, particularly during the evening traffic peak from 5.00pm.

Non-ticketholders are urged to avoid the area; check the Sydney Olympic Park website for alternate driving routes.

Ticketholders are strongly advised to allow ample travel time and take public transport, which is included in the cost of match tickets. Additional special event public transport services will be operating.

Ticketholders planning to drive despite advice otherwise should pre-book parking via sydneyolympicpark.com.au/prebook. Car parks are likely fill fast.

Those who arrive early will be able to enjoy a wide range of cafés, bars and restaurants trading across Sydney Olympic Park.

Media commentators are reminded that Sydney Olympic Park is a suburb, as declared by the NSW Geographical Naming Board. Please use the correct reference ‘Sydney Olympic Park’ (or ‘Olympic Park’) and NOT Homebush, which is a separate suburb serviced by its own railway station approximately three kilometres away from Olympic Park station. Incorrect reference to the venue causes confusion and may lead commuters to disembark at the wrong suburb.
