Watch out for that tree! If you love outdoor games but find golf frustrating, try disc golf with a frisbee. Fun for all fitness levels and ages, this new sport is really taking off.

To start play, throw your disc from the tee area towards the first "hole" (actually a metal basket). The dangling chains add to the trickiness but try landing your disc in the basket before progressing to the next basket. Complete the course with the least number of throws and you win.

Play for free on the rolling green fields at Newington Armory if you bring your own disc or hire discs for a small refundable deposit (there is a $10 deposit for equipment which is refunded when equipment is returned). Download your own scorecard

Weekends 10.30am-3.30pm for disc hire from the Armory Visitor Centre. Course open daily from 9.30am-4.30pm during school holidays.

Discs can also be hired from Bike Hire at Blaxland Riverside Park during their opening hours.

Free ($10 refundable deposit on equipment return)
