Segway Tours

It may look like a 21st-century chariot but the Segway is a very cruisy ride. Experience the unique freedom of this virtually silent transport. Start with a 30-minute Fun Ride to test drive your Segway, available on weekends and public holidays, no booking required. Or you can choose to explore the beautiful parklands of Newington Armory on a fully-escorted tour: Try the Discovery Ride or upgrade to an X2 Adventure Ride, which puts you in command of your all-terrain Segway for an exciting experience on-road and off-road.

• Fun Ride
Kids, teens, adults and oldies - everyone loves Segway Fun Rides. You'll be amazed at how easy and how much fun it is to control a Segway in the safe environment of the Armory. (Minimum age is 9 years.)
Available weekends & public holidays: hourly, 10am to 3pm
Cost: Adult $45, child/student/concession $35
Duration: 30 minutes

• Discovery Ride
Relax as your Segway gently carries you on a low-speed cruise around the historic buildings and grounds of the Armory. (Minimum age is 9 years.)
Available Monday to Friday 10am
Cost: Adult $69, child/student/concession $55
Duration: 60 minutes

• X2 Adventure Ride
Ride a Segway X2 off-road, it’s easy, it's fun and it's an exhilarating new experience when you ride an all-terrain Segway X2 on our cross country adventure course. (Minimum age is 11 years.)
Available seven days:
Sat & Sun - 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 3.30pm
Mon - Fri - 10am, 12pm, 2pm
Cost: Adult $89, child/student/concession $70
Duration: 60 minutes

• X2 Adventure Plus Ride
You’ll have more time to learn advanced riding techniques plus have more fun as you enjoy showing off your new riding skills. You'll learn to ride with confidence and be able to easily handle all obstacles on our cross country course. (Minimum age is 11 years.)
Available seven days:
Sat & Sun - 3.30pm
Mon - Fri - 10am, 12pm, 2pm
Cost: Adult $109, child/student /concession $89
Duration: 90 minutes
