Seasons, Nepean Valley
My body of work represents the four different seasons, using the tones and colours associated with each specific season in the inking process. There is no sense of human interference or urbanisation in the work, emphasising my central concept of stillness. My intent within my work was to unveil the beauty within a slower paced life, the significance of stillness and the value of being quiet. The four print sets of panoramas are presented as if in long, medium and close-up shot, establishing a sense of distance. The three etchings in each set connect, but from varying distances.
