Solomon's Virtues
Collection of Works
The concept for my body of work comes from the ‘counting crows’ nursery rhyme where each number makes a prediction: One for sorrow / Two for mirth / Three for a wedding / Four for a birth / Five for silver / Six for gold / Seven for a secret never to be told. Each of my seven separate pieces represents a line and contrasts it with a related bible verse from King Solomon, who was known for his great wisdom. My intent is to create irony by juxtaposing the superstition of the rhyme and the wisdom of King Solomon.
