Drawing
My body of work is a tribute to my family’s spiritual connection with flies, exploring the transition from grief to acceptance when mourning the loss of a loved one. My work consists of 700 hand-drawn frames which, together, represent my grandmother’s initial realisation that relationships are not severed by death. This came from her encounter with a fly which symbolises an everlasting ancestral bond, passed down through generations of my family, ultimately acting as a form of solace.
