A Shared World?
"Every day, even if only for a few moments, millions of people enter a variety of public spaces, of which they experience very differently. The description each person portrays of their surroundings and encounters varies, challenging our idea of the possibility of a 'common' human experience. It can be argued that this is a result of the increase of consumerism in this technological age, transforming our understanding of socially accepted human interaction and behaviours within public environments.
The physical confinement of public transport evokes personal reflection and introvertism, activating the individual's subconscious and depicting their experience of that moment. I intend to capture and portray the interaction between the subconscious and surrounding active environment, challenging the audiences perception of natural human behaviours and society accepted interactions in these shared spaces, particularly trains."
