Having the largest stand of mangroves on the Parramatta River, it's an ideal excursion to explore this ecosystem.
Your Stage 3 students will love taking on the role of researchers as they journey through the Badu Mangroves in Bicentennial Park. Let them explore this unique ecosystem and uncover changes over the last 100 years. They will learn how the pressures of human needs effect the environment and come up with ideas on how to protect them in the future.
Activities include:
- encounter plants and animals of the mangrove ecosystem
- conduct ecological monitoring of a wetland environment
- look at how the park has changed over time
