Welcome to Sydney Olympic Park Community User’s Guide

Sydney Olympic Park is an active and vibrant town centre, encompassed by 430 hectares of Parklands. Over 304 hectares of the Parklands are classified as threatened species habitat, showcasing incredible biodiversity.

The Sydney Olympic Park Community User’s Guide has been developed to help you and your family, colleagues and friends discover ways of living a happy, healthy and sustainable lifestyle. In achieving this sustainable lifestyle, you will also help protect the environment and ecology of Sydney Olympic Park.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority is a 6 Star Green Star Community!

Sydney Olympic Park Authority has been formally accredited as a 6 star Green Star Community by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), the highest rating possible under GBCA’s rating system.

It is the first 6 Star Green Star community wholly delivered by a NSW Government agency, having achieved a total of 97 points out of a possible 110. This is the second- highest tally of any Green Star Communities project in Australia!

The Authority is implementing Smart City initiatives, work is under way to take the Park to net zero emissions by 2050 with an aspirational target to be carbon zero by 2030. The Authority has developed action plans to maintain a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating through the delivery of a sustainable precinct that provides a healthy environment, liveable community and prosperous city.
