Community feedback sought on cricket Centre of Excellence

22 Nov 2019

The application for Cricket NSW's new Centre of Excellence at Sydney Olympic Park is now on exhibition for feedback from the community.

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is calling on the community to have its say on the proposal for a year-round training and administration facility at Wilson Park, next to the Parramatta River in Sydney Olympic Park.

The proposed new facility will be the base for the NSW Blues' (men's) and Breakers' (women's) squads, the Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers, and Cricket NSW's development programs.

Plans for the Centre of Excellence include administration offices, a full-size oval and training oval, outdoor training nets, and community facilities.

The Wilson Park facility will become the new long-term home for Cricket NSW, which has relocated to temporary facilities at Sydney Olympic Park following the closure of its headquarters at Moore Park
