Engage with science in a fun, interactive and thrilling family day out at the Innovation Games at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 18 August from 12noon – 5.30pm, as part of the Sydney Science Festival during National Science Week.
The FREE event will entertain and inspire Sydneysiders’ interest in science, sport and technology with loads of live shows, interactive workshops, games and gadgets, film screenings, daring demos, crazy creatures, job-future info sessions and so much more amid a carnival atmosphere the whole family will enjoy.
Held at Cathy Freeman Park, the theme of the 2018 Innovation Games is ‘Racing the Future’. Attendees will be able to generate energy while burning some off by hitting the pump track with their BMX bikes, skateboards or scooters.
Visitors can also get the low down on drones, take-off on flying simulatos or connect in real-time with aerospace personnel from the NASA space centre! There will be opportunities to learn about coding and career pathways into STEM fields, nature discovery trails, slimy and scaly creatures to pat, and of course the chance to kick the physics out of a footy.
