Coming September 2021
Armory Gallery, Jamieson Street, Newington Armory Sydney Olympic Park
Operation Art is the premier state-wide visual arts exhibition for school students from Kindergarten to Year 10. With more than 500 artworks by students from hundreds of schools throughout NSW, this year’s exhibition offers Armory Gallery visitors a great opportunity to celebrate the creative talents of our young people at our unique riverside setting.
Presented in collaboration with NSW Department of Education and The Children's Hospital, Westmead, the exhibition celebrates both artistic excellence and the healing power of art. The exhibition is all about using art to build empathy – all of the children with works in the show have been asked to produce pictures that they think would cheer up other children who have been hospitalised because of illness.
Presented in partnership with NSW Department of Education and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
This year, for the first time, Operation Art and The Armory Gallery are very excited to be able to offer virtual art-making lessons to class groups of students in Stages 1 – 3 in schools across NSW!
