Woo-la-ra
Woo-la-ra (of Aboriginal origin, meaning 'look-out place') dominates the riverside area of the Park near Wentworth Point, and offers twisting paths that lead to a summit with breathtaking 360-degree views of Newington Nature Reserve, surrounding urban landscapes and the city skyline.
The Markers
The five Sydney Olympic Park Markers are a series of conical shaped earth mounds that are 10-20m high and are made from material unsuitable for re-use in construction. Together, they resemble the Southern Cross on the Australian flag!
These 'geometric forms' are easily accessible on bike, wheelchair or foot and serve to orient you within the park, providing views of the following:
