Board members

Sydney Olympic Park Authority is subject to the control and direction of the NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces in the exercise of its functions.

The Sydney Olympic Park Authority Board is appointed in accordance with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority Act 2001 (NSW). The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management of the affairs of the Authority in accordance with the specific policies and general directions of the board. 

Ken Kanofski

Ken Kanofski is an experienced and successful board director, chair and advisor. In addition to his role as Chair of Sydney Olympic Park Authority, he is Chair of Placemaking NSW and Tellus Holdings, a Director at Jerrara Power and a Commissioner of the NSW Independent Planning Commission. Ken brings a wealth of experience in infrastructure, transport, utilities, property, venue management and environmental services.

Previously, Ken has served as Chief Executive Officer of NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Government Property NSW and WSN Environmental Solutions. He has served as a board member and chair on national policy bodies, statutory authorities, industry bodies and community organisations and he has contributed significantly to policy at a state, national and international level in transport, infrastructure, waste and energy. Ken also served as Australia’s first delegate to the World Road Association.

Ken Kanofski

Neisha D'Souza

Neisha D'Souza is Chief Executive Officer of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA). Her distinguished career, including her more than four years in previous role as Executive Director of Strategic Advisory Services within Property & Development NSW and almost 10 years at the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI). In this capacity, she worked closely with SOPA and led numerous state-significant policy initiatives and programmes.

A key focus of her work at Property & Development NSW was the successful delivery of surplus government-owned land for housing through the Government’s Land Audit. She also spearheaded the launch of the Government Property Framework, an initiative that simplifies the assessment and transfer of government-owned land for housing and service delivery.

Neisha's extensive experience and leadership in the property sector align seamlessly with SOPA’s vision. She is a highly effective and knowledgeable leader, with a deep understanding of the property sector and expertise in strategic initiatives. Her ongoing work continues to be a driving force in shaping the development of Sydney Olympic Park.

David Borger

David Borger is the Executive Director of Business Western Sydney. A passionate advocate for the growth of Western Sydney, David has been at the forefront of many high-profile advocacy efforts dedicated to bringing jobs to the region, keeping Western Sydney a competitive market for business, and championing the cultural, amenity and infrastructure investments required to provide residents with a worldclass place to work, live and entertain.

Previously, David served as the Minister for Western Sydney, Minister for Housing, Minister for Roads, and Minister assisting the Minister for Transport and Roads in NSW Labor Governments. He also served three terms as the Lord Mayor of Parramatta. He currently serves on several boards including NRMA, Evolve Housing, and the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences.

David Borger

Julie Savet Ward

Julie is a professional non-executive director and chairperson with 25 years’ experience on company and project boards in the property, infrastructure and professional services sectors. With over 35 years management experience, Juliet has a deep understanding of planning, approvals, sustainability construction and delivery of projects. She brings commercial acumen, practical governance knowledge, project management experience and a collaborative leadership style.

Previously, Juliet served as a Director at Morrison Low Holdings, Director NSW Environment Protection Authority as well as a chairperson at Link Housing Ltd, SGS Economics and Planning Pty Ltd and Bickerton Masters Architecture Pty Ltd, amongst others.

Jane Lloyd

Jane has been consulting through her company Third Shift Enterprises since 2015. Jane’s clients include Mirvac, Bridge Housing, The Sydney Grammar School and the Anglican Church Property Trust. Jane has been engaged in the property industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles in both Australia and Overseas. She brings a deep understanding of the property industry, strong strategic background and has a consistent track-record delivering strong commercial results by identifying and managing risks.

Jane started her career at Lend Lease, before moving to DEXUS property group for 11 years, followed by leading the Development and Design team for Stockland’s Commercial Property Division. Throughout her career, Jane has been involved in strategic master planning and precinct management with a strong background in governance and leadership.
