Newington Armory has evolved from its military-industrial origins into a unique arts precinct, including a theatre, outdoor amphitheatre, artist studios and an exhibition space, which features the longest continuous gallery wall in Australia! Explore the nearby Blaxland Riverside Park. Don’t miss the double flying fox, tunnel slides and water feature.
The Armory has free exhibitions throughout the year, plus film festivals, public art, cultural activities and kids activities.*

Please note:
Barbecuing is not permitted within Newington Armory.
Dogs are not permitted within Newington Armory.
For visitor safety and protection of heritage area, gates close strictly at 5 pm.
*Currently, there are no exhibitions taking place at the gallery.
Parklands parking
You must register your vehicle plate number to receive the first 2 hours of parking for free, then a parking fee will apply:
- $3 per hour fee on weekdays, and
- $5 per hour fee on weekends.
